Apple launched Vision Pro post reporting their first quarter results exceeding the earnings and revenue estimates. The product is launched at $3500 in U.S. and will soon reach other parts of the world. With only gaze and touch, Vision Pro users can transport themselves instantly through immersive 3D environments.
Start Trek for Apple Vision Pro
In continuation, OTOY, Paramount Game Studios, and The Gene Roddenberry Estate announced the release of a Roddenberry Archive app for the Apple Vision Pro. The app promises to immerse Trekkies in nearly two hours of groundbreaking Star Trek spatial experiences designed specifically for the Apple Vision Pro, allowing them to explore hundreds of fully realised locations, artefacts, and unique items from every Star Trek TV show and film in the franchise’s nearly 60-year history.
A limited selection of Star Trek assets were created specifically for the Vision Pro app and are accessible as downloaded holographic items that may be placed in the user’s home surroundings. These models and sets can be reduced or stretched from life size to dollhouse proportions while rendering with unprecedented quality and quiescence on consumer hardware. Audiences can experiment with the size and scale of the famous starship the USS Enterprise, allowing them to walk around the original 11-foot physical USS Enterprise model on exhibit at the Smithsonian or see the in-universe 1:1 life-size 1000-foot ship soar overhead.
